What is a CSA?

CSA -- Consumer Supported Agriculture --  is a relationship of mutual support and commitment between local farmers and community members who pay in advance for future product. Your CSA subscription makes a tangible difference – it helps keep this small, family farm rolling! Your food dollars help care for the flock, support regenerational farming, and sustain handcrafted, on-farm artisan cheesemaking traditions.

What do you get?

Cheese! Once a month, you'll receive a selection of Shepherd’s Way Farms cheese (usually 3-4 pieces). Selections include Friesago, Big Woods Blue, Shepherd’s Hope, Hidden Falls, Sogn. And, our harder to find Burr Oak and seasonal Morcella with morels.

 

Members have also received cheeses not available in stores -- a fresh sheep milk cheese (similar to chevre), Adobo Cheese Spread, Country French Spread, Rustic Blue, traditional whey ricotta, skyr (Icelandic yogurt-like cheese) and more.

Cheese Pick Up

Pick up your share once a month at locations in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Northfield, and Rochester.

​

Current locations include third Saturday at Mill City Farmer’s Market, St. Paul Farmer’s Market, Weds prior at WiseAcre and Shepherds Table in Minneapolis, Golden Fig in St Paul, and  Thursday prior at Imminent Brewing in Northfield and Rochester at Great Harvest Bread.

 

Choose your location and Steven will send you a reminder email each month. You can also switch locations when replying to the reminder.

When?

Pickup dates are year-round, on third Saturday of the month & Weds/Thurs prior to that Saturday, depending on location.  Pickup schedules are listed on your CSA insert and reminder emails!

Six Month Subscription $225
